Player dies in Sweden

Former Helsingborg striker Victor Brannstrom has died after collapsing during a match in the Swedish lower leagues.



The 29-year-old had just scored a goal for Pitea in its Division Four South fixture against Umedalen when he fell to the ground.



Brannstrom was transferred to a local hospital by ambulance but was later pronounced dead.



"Our thoughts go to Victor and his family. It's obviously horrible," Pitea's vice-chairman Christer Berglund told newspaper Expressen.
